Aluminized Black Kapton®, also known as PI or polyimide film, is suitable for use as an outermost MLI layer or a single-layer Flexible Optical Solar Reflector (FOSR). It is ideal for medium-to-long duration GEO missions with an operating temperature range of -250°C to 290°C.
